Portfolio Management

• In our investment language Portfolio Management means much the same as it would in the financial investment world. In fact it should arguably be referred to as Corporate Investment Management.
  
• It is a business management activity that ensures the right project investments are selected and executed to deliver the organisation’s strategic objectives.
  
• It encompasses the organisation, processes and criteria by which an organisation assesses, selects and oversees the execution of its project investments on an on-going basis.
  
• It is NOT a Programme/Project Management activity, although the execution of investments will invariably be via Projects and Programmes.
