Project Portfolio Management “A practical guide to selecting projects, managing portfolios and maximizing benefits” |
Harvey A. Levine |
ISBN: 978-0-7879-7754-2 |
A 500+ page reference on most topics to do with portfolio management. This is an excellent reference for anyone involved in managing or implementing portfolio management in an organisation. Unlike many, it is aimed at business executives rather than the project management community. It covers everything from why it matters to CEOs and other CxO executives, to the organisation and processes required; with separate sections on the application of portfolio management in areas such as IT and product management. In addition to Levine’s own contribution the book contains a series of chapters contributed by other authors (e.g. K.C.Yelin on “Linking Strategy and Project Portfolio Management”) covering specific topics and case studies. Although not a casual read, we recommend this book. |
